Do you know what version brought in the ability to lock viewports?

Hmm, that's a hard one... you can do that from the command line using mview, and looking at my command reference (available on hyperpics.com), mview has been around at least since r12, but, I can't tell how long 'lock' has been an option.
Let me ask around...

alright... asked some gurus I know... Carl F says r2000, and Nate B from autodesk seconds confirms.
Thanks for the input guys. :)
