Melanie (Stone) Perry's [aka. Wanderer] CAD & BIM blog! This platform will be primarily dedicated to Design Technology (especially as it relates to Facilities Management [FM / CAFM]), but, when other topics catch my fancy, I'll post about them as well.
I am all about AutoCAD! Why? Well, it comes down to the fact that I am a dork, but, I don’t care for gaming, so I have to indulge my nerdy tendencies by being an Autodesk fangirl (and exhibiting a mild obsession with the Lord of the Rings trilogy).
I work in Facilities-Management as a Coordinator on the Engineering team (MEPFP). I am really excited about where I see CAFM/BIM taking my industry and can't wait to see what the future has in store.
I am also a Freelance Writer and Technical Editor (articles, web, podcasts and textbooks).
*AUGI* I joined the Autodesk Users Group International at AU 2001. I run the Annual Salary Survey, and serve as an Officer on the Board of Directors.
*GAUG* in 2003, I met another user from St. Louis & we founded the Gateway AUG. I served as VP for over 3 years and as President for 2.
*Education* I can't deny my love for data. I am currently pursuing an M.S. in Informatics (data science/business intelligence) at Saint Louis University.

I've heard horror stories about release 13...
don't you like how, even to this day, every release of an ADSK product is "the best to date". Well.. of course it is?! like who goes backward with software?! you have everything you had before + other stuff. + is always an incremental benefit over no +. It'd be nice to see solutions to customer problems, not just +1 releases.
